PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records pertaining to the impugned order of the 3rd respondent in Na.Ka.No.705/2024/A1 dated 06.10.2025 and quash the same and subsequently directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to participate in the council meeting conducted by the 3rd and 4th respondent Orathanadu Town Panchayat. 1/4

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed challenging a communication of the third respondent herein to Government Advocate, Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai, dated 06.10.2025 wherein the learned Counsel has been informed why the petitioner has not been permitted to participate in the council meeting.

2. It could be seen from the records that a resolution has been passed by the Orathanadu Selection Grade Town Panchayat, on 09.07.2025 removing the writ petitioner from membership. This resolution or any order communicated to the writ petitioner about his removal has not been put to challenge. In such circumstances, a letter addressed by the Executive officer of the said Town Panchayat to the Government Advocate cannot be put to challenge. Preserving the rights of the writ petitioner to challenge the removal resolution dated 09.07.2025, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, 2/4
