PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to proceedings of the 3rd respondent vide Rc. No. A3/151/4273/2025 D.O. No.692/2025 dated 02.12.2025, to quash the same and to consequently to direct the respondents to enforce promotion by drawing seniority list based on the training under rule 10(a) and Rule 10(b) of the Adhoc Rules, vide G.O. Ms. No.53, Home (Police IX) Department, dated 18.01.1999 and G.O. Ms. No.873 dated 02.12.2016 for the post of Inspector (Technical) and Sub-Inspector (Technical) in Police Telecommunication Branch.

This petitioner is working as Sub Inspector of Police (Technical). He has been placed in Sl.No.12 in the seniority list for the post of Inspector, which was published on 01.09.2025. Thereafter, the respondents have issued another seniority list, vide RC No.A3/151/4273/2025 D.O.No.692 of 2025, on 02.12.2025, 2/6

revising the seniority of the petitioner from Sl.No.12 to Sl.No.145. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner has approached this Court.

2. Mr.C.Venkatesh Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents submits that the petitioner and other stakeholders were permitted to offer their objections, if any, on the seniority list on or before 10.12.2025. In the event, if the petitioner is having any grievance with regard to the seniority list, he can very well submit his objections and the same would be considered.

3.Considering the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader that an opportunity has been provided to this petitioner to raise his objection, this writ petition is disposed of with liberty to this petitioner to raise his objection positively by today or tomorrow (09.12.205 or 10.12.2025). The respondents shall consider the objections, if any to be raised by the petitioner and communicate the decision to the petitioner, within a period of four 3/6

weeks from thereon. It is also made clear that the respondents shall not issue the final seniority list, without considering the petitioner's objections. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed.
