Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 herein to pay a sum of Rs.20,00,000/- as compensation for the death of the petitioner's son namely Muneeswaran, aged about 19 years, on 30.12.2023 in view of a representation dated 26.07.2024 within the stipulated time which this Court.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.07.2024 and further to direct the respondent Nos.1 to 5 herein to pay a sum of Rs.20,00,000/- as compensation for the death of the petitioner's son, viz., Muneeswaran, aged about 19 years, on 30.12.2023.
2. Mr.K.Balasubramani, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.
3. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner's son met with an accident while cleaning the school campus, during which an old tree fell on him, causing serious injuries, and he subsequently succumbed to those injuries on 30.12.2023. Hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 26.07.2024 to the respondents seeking compensation of a sum of Rs.20,00,000/-. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has approached this Court.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent Nos.1 to 5 submits that the petitioner's representation dated 26.07.2024 will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.07.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5
6. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
