Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to conduct the peace committee meeting to appoint the festival committee with regard to the conduct of consecration (Kumbabhisegam) to the Kullimariamman Temple situated in Mavathur Village in Kadvur Taluk of Karur District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.11.2025. 1/4

ORDER

The petitioner a resident of Mavathur village, Karur District has approached this court seeking a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to conduct a peace committee meeting and to appoint a festival committee to conduct consecration in Kullimariamman temple by considering his representation dated 28.11.2025. 2.Mrs.Malathy, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for respondent Nos.1 to 3 submits that the consecration to the said temple has been performed this morning.

3.Since it is reported that consecration has already been conducted and in several cases this court has held that the revenue officials have no authority to conduct peace committee meeting and it has no statutory value, this court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition. 2/4

Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
