O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to delete the zero entries in the Registers maintained by the Registration Department in Survey No.128/2A of Manthithoppu Village and to fix the guideline of the above said survey number in light of the order passed by this Court in WP(MD) No.20457 of 2014 within the time frame fixed by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the property admeasuring 2 acres and 87 cents in Survey No.128/2, Manthithoppu Village, was purchased by the petitioner's father, Mr. S.P. Ramakrishnan, vide registered sale deed dated 16.04.1980. However, the revenue records pertaining to the said survey number reflected the name of the Bhoodhan Board. Hence, the father of the petitioner filed W.P.(MD) No.20457 of 2014 before this Court, and the said writ petition was allowed on 15.09.2023, holding that after demarcating the Bhoodhan Board lands to an extent of 2 acres and 10 cents, the remaining 1 acre and 77 cents may be transferred in the name of the petitioner's father. 2/5
2.(i). During the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner's father passed away, leaving the petitioner and his brothers as legal heirs. Pursuant to the aforesaid order, patta was transferred in favour of the petitioner and his brothers, after subdividing the survey number as Survey No.128/2A and assigning Patta No.558 with respect to 1 acre and 77 cents. Thereafter, when the petitioner and his brothers intended to partition the said property, the petitioner, on enquiring about the guideline value, found that zero entries had been recorded for Survey No.128/2A in the Registers maintained by the Registration Department. Consequent to the order passed in the earlier writ petition and the issuance of patta, the guideline value ought to have been fixed. However, till date, no guideline value has been assessed for Survey No.128/2A.
Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondent as well as to the District Registrar on 06.11.2025, requesting assessment of the guideline value and deletion of the zero entry, enclosing all relevant records. But till date, no action has been taken. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submits that the petitioner's representation dated 06.11.2025 will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.11.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
