ORDER
This criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to transfer the investigation in Crime No.256 of 2025 from the file of the third respondent to the file of the second respondent and to file a final report within a time stipulated by this Court.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's husband died in an accident occurred on 30.05.2025 at 10.30 pm. While the petitioner and her husband were traveling in a two wheeler bearing Registration No.TN 63 BA 5311, an unidentified two wheeler dashed her vehicle. In this regard, FIR in Crime No.256 of 2025 has been registered for the offence under Section 281 and 125(a) of BNS, 2023 on the file of the third respondent. However, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, the petitioner sought for transfer of investigation from the file of the third respondent to the file of the second respondent. 2/5
3. Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.

Considering the nature of the crime, this Court hereby directs the second respondent to monitor the investigation in Crime No.256 of 2025 on the file of the third respondent and the third respondent is also directed to report weekly to the second respondent and conclude the investigation as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of two months from today (i.e., 10.12.2025)
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
