ORDER

The petitioners seek to quash the charge sheet in CC No. 2427 of 2025 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Madurai, charged for the offences under Section 191(2), 191(3), 294(b), 115(2), 118(1) & 351(3) of BNS, 2023.

2. The case of the prosecution is that due to previous enmity of the pathway dispute between the parties, the petitioners attacked the second respondent / defacto complainant and made a life threat, for which a case in Crime No.63 of 2025 has been registered against the petitioners.

3. Now, the petitioners and the 2nd respondent have amicably settled the dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 29.11.2025.

4. The petitioners, namely, Mahalakshmi @ Lakshmi, (Aadhaar No.8107 5050 7837), Pechiyammal (Aadhaar No.9030 7553 8900), Pandeeshwari (Aadhaar No.4349 6015 3123), Eswari, (Aadhaar No.8430 6815 6013), Banupriya, (Aadhaar No.7834 4645 0838) and the second respondent, namely, Saranya (Aadhaar No.2794 0110 1651) are present before this Court in person. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them. 2/4

5. In view of the above and considering the civil nature of the offences, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned charge sheet pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned charge sheet in C.C.No.2427 of 2025 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Madurai, is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 29.11.2025 shall form part of this order. 16.12.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Sm TO:-
