ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fourth respondent to survey and demarcate the property comprised in Survey No. 253/23, Patta No. 1656, measuring an extent of 0.00.80 hectare, situated at Tharikomban Village, North Andakudi Group, Ilayankkudi Taluk,
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. According to the petitioner, he is one of the beneficiaries to whom a plot was allotted under the Adi Dravidar Welfare Scheme, and an assignment patta in respect of the subject land was also issued, subject to the condition that the property shall not be alienated till 05.12.2033.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the original owner of the property, from whom the land was acquired by the Government as early as in the year 1996, has filed a civil suit in O.S.No.163 of 2025, which is pending before the Additional District Court, Sivagangai. However, the learned Additional Government Pleader fairly admits that no interim orders have been passed in favour of the said owner, who has filed the suit questioning the acquisition.

Considering the aforesaid submissions, this Court is of the view that it is incumbent upon the fourth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon. Accordingly, this Court directs the fourth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.11.2025, survey and demarcate the petitioner's land after considering the claims of the petitioner, the adjacent landowners, and other interested persons, if any, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
