The above petition has been filed seeking orders to condone the delay of 227 days in filing the appeal, against the award, dated 18.12.2024 made in M.C.O.P.No.389 of 2022 on the file of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal/Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Karur District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent would submit that if the petitioner is waiving interest for those periods, they are having no objections to condone the delay.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would fairly concede and made an endorsement to that effect.

5. Considering the above, this Court is inclined to condone the delay.

Accordingly, this petition is ordered and the Registry is directed to number the appeal, if it is otherwise in order. The petitioner/claimant is not entitled to interest for the delayed period.
