O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed alleging noncompliance of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.13410 of 2020, dated 23.11.2020.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that two directions were issued in the Writ Petition. The first direction is to take action against the officials, and the second is to remove the illegal entry made in the register. Since these directions have not been complied with, this Contempt Petition has been filed.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that, as far as the first direction regarding action against the officials is concerned, the Department has initiated 2/4

action against the concerned officials. Therefore, the first limb of the direction issued by this Court has been complied with. Insofar as the second direction regarding the removal of the entry made in the register is concerned, he submits that, as there was no provision to delete the entry, they have entered in red ink in Index II, as per Standing Order 945A of the Registration Manual, to indicate that the 'entry made is an illegal entry.'. Therefore, he would submit that the second limb of the prayer has also been complied with and the illegal entry made in the register has been neutralized. Therefore, nothing survives in this Contempt Petition.

4. In view of the above, since the order passed by this Court has been complied with, no further order is required in this Contempt Petition and the same is liable to be closed.
