O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 04.08.2025, filed in Na.Ka.No.A4/6058/2025, within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the property comprised in Survey Nos.449, 450, 452 and 453, situated at Uppiramangalam Keezhpagam Village, Karur District, was purchased on 10.09.1938 and has devolved upon the petitioner by way of succession. During the UDR process, the name of the petitioner's grandfather was erroneously and inadvertently omitted from the Patta Register and the name of another cosharer, who possessed only a limited undivided share, was wrongly entered as if he was the sole owner.

4. Upon noticing the said error in the revenue records, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 04.08.2025 before the second respondent, which was taken on file as Na.Ka.No.A4/6058/2025. Though the second respondent has conducted enquiries, during which the petitioner produced all relevant documents, no order has been passed till date. Therefore, the petitioner was constrained to file the present writ petition.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation would be disposed of by the second respondent on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of sixteen weeks.

6. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 04.08.2025 on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. Page No. 3 of 5

The second respondent is also directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and any others who may be affected by such decision.
