PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to survey the petitioner's land situated in S.No.3/1B present S.No.3/14 in Kombaipatti Village, Nilakottai Taluk, Batlakundu, Dindigul District to the extent of 1518 sq.ft and to direct the fourth respondent to provide adequate police protection within a time frame stipulated by this Court. O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the third respondent to survey the petitioner's land situated in S.No. 3/1B, present S.No.3/14 in Kombaipatti Village, Nilakottai Taluk, Batlakundu, Dindigul District, to the extent of 1518 sq.ft and to direct the fourth respondent to provide adequate police protection. 2.With the consent of the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2/6

3.Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the fifth respondent, notice to the fifth respondent is hereby dispensed with.

4.The petitioner's grievance is that though he has made an application for survey and demarcation of the boundaries of the land on 12.09.2025, however, the same has been kept pending till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that after consideration of the claims of both the parties, proper steps would be taken to demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923. 6.Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court directs the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 12.09.2025 and demarcate the land of the petitioner, after consideration of the claims of both the parties and pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6

7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
