ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus as against the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the writ petitioner under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act.

2. Mr.M.Senthil Ayyanar, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the 1st respondent.

3. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse orders are to be passed against the 2nd respondent, notice to the 2nd respondent is dispense with.

4. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, she had suffered an order at the hands of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kovilpatti on 28.02.2025. Challenging the same, she has preferred an appeal before the 1st respondent herein on 08.04.2025. However, so far the appeal has not been disposed by the 1st respondent. Hence, the present writ petition.

5. Considering the above said facts, the 1st respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal presented by the writ petitioner dated 25.03.2025 on or before 20.02.2026.
