This Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to conduct an inquiry and Page No. 1 of 5

remove the names of Ulagan and Mani Gounder from Patta No.983 pertaining to Survey No.157/2A, situated at Akkiyampatti Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.11.2025.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the owner of the property in Survey No.157/2A, situated at Akkiyampatti Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District; that the second and third respondents were permitted by the elders of the petitioner to cultivate the land; that during the UDR survey, the second and third respondents misrepresented to the revenue officials that they were entitled to the land, which resulted in the inclusion of their names in the patta; that on coming to know of the same, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 28.11.2025 seeking rectification; and that however, the first respondent has not taken any steps in this regard, and therefore prays for a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation and effect correction in the patta. 4. The learned Government Advocate for the first respondent submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered on its merits and in accordance with law.

Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.11.2025 on its merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The first respondent is also directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and the second and third respondents and to any others who may be affected by such decision.
