This Writ Petition is filed seeking a mandamus as against the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.11.2025 and 24.11.2025 made to the respondents to provide equal opportunity as Tamil Velvi Asiriyar to perform Velvi Kundam Nigalvugal in the Kudamuzhaku Vizha schedule in the month of January, 2026 and before, during and after the Kudamuzhaku for the Mandala Poojai of Arulmigu Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, Madurai.

2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner made a representations on 17.11.2025 and 24.11.2025 seeking to provide equal opportunity to him as Tamil Velvi Asiriyar to perform Velvi Kundam Nigalvugal in the Kudamuzhaku Vizha schedule in the month of January, 2026 and before, during and after the Kudamuzhaku for the Mandala Poojai of Arulmigu Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, Madurai. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has approached this Court.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 24.11.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
