ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.08.2025 and take appropriate action to cancel the Patta No.964 for Sy.No. 25/4 in Kanoothu Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District, in the name of the respondents 5 and 6, within a time frame stipulated by this Court.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the respondents 5 and 6, notice to the respondents 5 and 6 is hereby dispensed with.
4. According to the petitioner, he is in continuous possession and enjoyment of the subject property. He submitted a representation dated 09.08.2025, requesting the respondents 1 to 4 to take appropriate action for cancellation of Patta No. 964, pertaining to Sy. No. 25/4 in Kanoothu Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District, which is currently in the name of the respondents 5 and 6. Despite submission of the representation, the respondents 1 to 4 have failed to take any action, thereby causing prejudice to the petitioner's rights over the property. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
5. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 to 4 submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered on its merits and in accordance with law.
6. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the
second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.08.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent is directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner, the respondents 5 and 6 and also to the other persons, who may be affected by such decision.
