ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus as against the first respondent for issuance of the passport to the petitioner based upon his application dated 14.10.2025 and accepting the written explanation dated 14.10.2025.

2. It could be seen from the records that the petitioner has been implicated in criminal case in Crime No.227 of 2024 on the file of the Madukkur Police Station, Thanjavur District. It has culminated in filing of charge sheet before the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Pattukkottai on 16.04.2025. So far, the charge sheet has not yet been taken on file. 2/4

3. In view of the above said fact, as and when the charge sheet is taken on file, the petitioner is directed to approach the trial Court and seek permission of the Court to go abroad. In case, if any such application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Based upon the order to be passed by the learned trial Judge, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the above observations, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
