This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.10.2025, conducting the enquiry and to cancel the patta No.3784, situated at Pushabathur Village, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District.
2.With the consent of the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the second respondent, notice to the second respondent is hereby dispensed with.
4.According to the petitioner, he has given a representation dated 28.10.2025 to the first respondent for cancellation of patta No.3784, which is still pending before the first respondent without any final decision, despite the long lapse of time. The petitioner contends that the prolonged inaction of the first respondent is arbitrary and has caused undue hardship, necessitating the intervention of this Court. Hence, the present Writ Petition. 2/5
5.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 6.Recording the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.10.2025, on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity to the petitioner and second respondent as well as all other persons, who may be interested in the subject matter, within a period of ten [10] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the first respondent to consider the same on its own merits. There shall be no order as to costs.
