2. The learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioners submitted that on the side of the defendants, witnesses D.W.1 to D.W.3 were examined. Thereafter, the revision petitioners filed the present applications seeking to reopen the defendant side evidence and to recall D.W.1 for further cross-examination with regard to certain documents marked during the course of trial and at the time of chief examination of D.W.1. It is the contention of the revision petitioners that certain documents already marked require clarification through further examination.

3. The trial Court, upon consideration of the submissions made and the materials available on record, dismissed the applications on the ground that the same were filed only with an intention to fill up the lacunae left out during the course of trial.

4. This Court has considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the revision petitioners and perused the impugned order. The trial Court has rightly come to the conclusion that the applications were 2/4

filed at a belated stage and permitting the same would amount to allowing the revision petitioners to fill up the lacunae in their case.

5. This Court does not find any irregularity, illegality or procedural lapse in the order passed by the trial Court warranting interference. Accordingly, these Civil Revision Petitions stand dismissed. No costs.
