PRAYER:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to remove the TASMAC Shop No.4740 that is located at Marungoor, Amaravathivilai road, Kanyakumari District based on the petitioner's representation dated 21.11.2025 within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.) The instant Public Interest Litigation, seeking issuance of mandamus for removal of TASMAC shop No.4740 located at Marungoor, Amaravathivilai Road, Kanyakumari District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 21.11.2025, is taken up for consideration today.
2.The learned Additional Advocate General submits that the District Collector, Kanyakumari District will consider the representation 2/5
of the petitioner dated 21.11.2025 and pass appropriate order in accordance with the Tamil Nadu Liquor Retail Vending (in Shops and Bars) Rules, 2003 and seeks time for disposal of the said representation. 3.Taking into consideration the submission made by the learned Additional Advocate General, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Collector, Kanyakumari to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks from today (05.01.2026).
4.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
