ORDER
1. This petition is filed by the petitioner to quash the FIR in Crime No. 9/2019 on the file of the respondent police.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State, on instructions submitted that this petition has become infructuous in view of the letter received by him from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Chennai, stating that as regards the petitioner, who was arraigned as A7, it was decided by the Government in its proceedings in Letter No. 411/E2[1]/2024, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj [E2] Department, dated 18.11.2024, to initiate disciplinary proceedings and to drop the criminal proceedings and the relevant documents were also directed to be handed over to CDP, Trichy, for initiation of disciplinary proceedings.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor also produced a copy of the aforesaid proceedings before this Court.
4. In view of the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and in view of the aforesaid letter received from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Chennai, dated 02.12.2024, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructous.
