ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to mutate the patta intot he petitioner's name in respect of the land including a house measuring an extent of 82 cents comprised in S.No. 124/5 and S.No.124/6 situated at Kadayanallur Taluk, Urmelalagiyan Village, Tenkasi District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 05.11.2025, online application dated 01.12.2025 and the reminder dated 03.12.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.

According to the petitioner, he is in possession and enjoyment of the land including a house measuring an extent of 82 cents comprised in S.Nos.124/5 and S.No.124/6 situated at Urmelaiagiyan Village, Kadayanallur Taluk, Tenkasi District. Seeking for transfer of patta in his name he has sent an online application dated 01.12.2025 and a representation dated 03.12.2025. Despite the submission of the said application, no effective steps have been initiated by respondent. In view of the inaction of the authorities, the petitioner has approached this Court for the relief stated supra.

5. The learned Government Advocate for the respondent submits that a civil Suit in respect of the subject property has been filed in O.S. No.518 of 2023 on the file of the Sub Court, Tenkasi and the same is pending.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.11.2025 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and also taking note of the fact that in respect of the subject property civil suit is pending in O.S. No.518 of 2023 on the file of the Sub Court, Tenkasi .

7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
