This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's Page No. 1 of 5

representation dated 28.11.2025 and include Survey No.969/1B in Joint Patta No.1007, Kalvarpatti Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District, within a time to be stipulated by this Court."

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the lands in Survey Nos.970/1, 970/1B, 970/1E, 972/1A, 974/3 and 1227/4B are ancestral properties belonging to the petitioner's family; that the land in Survey No.969/1B has been used as a common carriageway by the ancestors of the petitioner, for which Joint Patta No.1007 was issued; that subsequently, Survey No.970/1A was included in Joint Patta No.1007; that suddenly, without any notice to the petitioner or his family, Survey No.969/1B was separated from Patta No.1007 and issued as Patta No. 3362 in the names of one Rani, Balamurugan and Bagyalakshmi; that therefore, the petitioner sent a representation dated 28.11.2025 to the respondents; and that since the said representation did not evoke any response, the present writ petition has been filed. 4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered and disposed of by the first respondent on its own merits and in accordance with law.

Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.11.2025 on its merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The first respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and to any other interested parties who may be affected by the decision.
