ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to survey the land comprised in Survey No.916/1, Patta No.6551, situated at Perunkudi Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's online application dated 29.09.2025 and reminder dated 03.11.2025.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, she is the lawful owner and patta holder of the land comprised in Survey No.916/1 under Patta No.6551, situated at Perunkudi Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District. For proper demarcation and enjoyment of the said property, the petitioner submitted an online application dated 29.09.2025 to the second respondent seeking survey of the land and also sent a reminder dated 03.11.2025. However, the second respondent has failed to consider the said application and reminder. The continued inaction on the part of the second respondent is arbitrary and without authority of law, necessitating the filing of the present Writ Petition seeking a direction to conduct the survey within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents submitted that proper steps would be taken to demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court directs the respondents to consider the online application of the petitioner, dated 29.09.2025, demarcate the petitioner's land after considering the claims of the petitioner as well as the adjacent land owners and also the interested persons, if any and pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
