ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to quash the impugned order dated 09.12.2025 passed by the 3rd respondent in Na.Ka.No.Nil/Keelavalavu Police Station, Madurai District/2025 and to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.12.2025 to conduct "Bullock Cart Race" in the Kattai Solaipatti, Vellalur Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District on 25.12.2025 at about 06.00 a.m. and to give necessary police protection to the said race.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner already given a representation dated 04.12.2025 to the 3rd respondent to conduct the Bullock Cart Race and the same was rejected by the 3rd respondent. Hence, he filed the present petition.

3. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the petitioner sought permission to conduct the bullock cart race on 25.12.2025, which is Christmas Day. However, the respondent is ready to consider the fresh representation of the petitioner and grant permission to conduct Bullock Cart Race on the very next day i.e. on 26.12.2025.

4. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation to the 3rd respondent to conduct the said Bullock Cart Race on 26.12.2025, within a period of two days from today. On receipt of the such representation, the 3rd respondent shall consider the same and grant permission by imposing certain conditions.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 17.12.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes Note : Issue order copy on 18.12.2025.
