This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the fourth respondent to issue the old Chitta, Adangal, and old FMB sketch in respect of the temple situated in Survey No.488/12, measuring an extent of 912 square metres, at Varaguppai Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District, in favour of the petitioner, based on his representation dated 11.10.2025.
2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the President of Arulmigu Sri Ellaiamman Kovil Worship Page No. 2 of 6
Trust; that the Arulmigu Sri Ellaiamman Kovil has been situated in Survey No.488/12, measuring an extent of 912 sq. metres, for more than 100 years; that the third respondent, without giving any notice to the petitioner, subdivided the said survey number, leaving out the main Survey No.488/12; that the subject temple was shown in another subdivision as Survey No.488/14, and the extent was also reduced to 366 sq. metres; that the petitioner made representations to the second and third respondents, which were rejected, and challenging the same, the petitioner filed W.P.(MD) No.
5679 of 2025, which was disposed of by this Court; that thereafter, the petitioner filed an appeal before the first respondent, who directed the fourth respondent to produce the old Chitta, Adangal, and old FMB sketch; that since the fourth respondent failed to produce the same, the first respondent directed the petitioner to produce those documents; that subsequent to the same, the petitioner made a representation dated 11.10.2025 to the fourth respondent to produce old Chitta, Adangal, and old FMB sketch; and that as the fourth respondent has not responded to the said representation till date, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered on its merits and in accordance with law.
5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the fourth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.10.2025 on its merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
