O R D E R
The present writ petition has been filed seeking mandamus directing for issuance of passport based upon the petitioner's application dated 12.09.2025 and representation dated 07.12.2025.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner was implicated in a criminal case in Cr.No.335/2024 on the file of the second respondent police station, which has culminated in filing of charge sheet on 23.12.2024 before the learned Judicial Magistrate -I, Ramanathapuram and it is yet to be taken on file.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the 2/5
second respondent also brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner was implicated in another criminal case in Cr.No.387/2020 on the file of the second respondent police station, which has culminated in filing of charge sheet in S.T.C.No.352 of 2024 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court-I, Ramanathapuram and the trial is pending.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the second respondent also brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner was involved in another criminal case in Cr.No.283/2021 on the file of the second respondent police station and the petitioner was acquitted by the learned Judicial Magistrate -I, Ramanathapuram in the said case.
5. In view of the abovesaid facts, the petitioner is directed to approach the trial court in S.T.C.No.352 of 2024 seeking permission to go abroad. In case any application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within four (4) weeks from the date of application. Based upon the orders to be passed by the trial court, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.
