Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to take charge as Thakkar of Arulmigu Kalyana Karuppasamy Thirukovil as per the 2nd respondent proceedings in SE.MU.NA.KA.No.4544/2024/Aa1 dated 23.07.2024 and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to take action against the 5th respondent based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.07.2025 within the time limit that may by stipulated by this Court.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Mandamus as against the 4th respondent to take charge as Thakkar of Arulmigu Kalyana Karuppasamy Thirukovil as per the 2nd respondent proceedings in SE.MU.NA.KA.No.4544/2024/Aa1 dated 23.07.2024 and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to take action against the 5th respondent based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.07.2025 within the time limit that may by stipulated by this Court.

2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse order is going to be passed as against the respondents 3 to 5, notice to them is dispensed with.

According to the petitioner, the 5th respondent is acting as a Poojari in the Arulmigu Kalyana Karuppasamy Thirukovil, though criminal cases were registered against him regarding the malpractices over the temple administration. Therefore, the 2nd respondent, after conducting enquiry, vide his proceedings dated 23.07.2024 had appointed the 4th respondent as legal Thakkar of the above said temple. However, till date the 5th respondent is acting as Poojari of the said temple. In this regard, the petitioner made a representation on 23.07.2025. However, till date the same was not considered. Hence, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 23.07.2025 would be considered in accordance with law. 3/6

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 23.07.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
