PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS directing the 2nd respondent to cancel the fraudulent settlement deed vide document No.3888/2013 dated 16.05.2013 executed by the petitioner under coercion and undue influence in favour of her son Periasamy i.e., 3rd respondent, by invoking the provision of Tamilnadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 on the basis of her representation dated 02.09.2025.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus as against the second respondent for expeditious disposal of her application filed under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the settlement deed was executed by her in favour of the third respondent on 16.05.2013 under coercion and undue influence and therefore, she has made an application to the second respondent on 02.09.2025.

3. Considering the above said facts, the second respondent is directed to consider the application of the writ petitioner and after giving due opportunity to the third respondent shall dispose of the same on or before 31.03.2026.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
