O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to conduct an enquiry and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 15.09.2025 within a stipulated time period.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the property in Survey No.47, measuring an extent of 14.16 acres, originally belonged to one Veerapathiran; that the said Veerapathiran sold the said property to the petitioner's grandfather and his brother, Karuppaiah, on 15.05.1933; that since then, they have been in possession and enjoyment of the same; that the petitioner's grandfather had three sons, one of whom is the petitioner's father and that his brother Karuppaiah had three sons; that all of them have their respective shares in the subject property; that the petitioner suddenly noticed that the said land has been subdivided as Survey Nos.47/1, 47/2, 47/3, 47/4, 47/5, 47/6, 47/7 and 47/8 and has been assigned to about eight persons without the Page No. 2 of 5

knowledge of the petitioner; that therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 16.09.2025 to the first respondent, who in turn forwarded the same to the second respondent; that the second respondent, by his memorandum dated 13.10.2025, directed the third respondent to conduct an enquiry and file a report; that however, no further action has been taken; and that therefore, the petitioner was constrained to file the present Writ Petition

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the enquiry would be conducted and the petitioner's representation dated 15.09.2025 would be disposed of within a period of twelve weeks.

5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 15.09.2025 on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The respondents are also directed to provide a reasonable Page No. 3 of 5

opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by the decision. There shall be no order as to costs.
