Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 05.11.2025 and include the names of the petitioners in the patta in respect of Patta No. 4962 and upload the same in Land Data of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 05.11.2025 and to include the names of the petitioners in Patta No.4962 and upload the same in the Government of Tamil Nadu Land Records Portal.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The grievance of the petitioners is that this Court, by order dated 13.09.2024 in Cont.P.(MD) No.211 of 2024, directed the legal Page No. 2 of 5

representatives, i.e., the petitioners herein, to submit an application for inclusion of their names in the patta and further directed the respondents to carry out necessary corrections forthwith on receipt of such application. However, the application/representation dated 05.11.2025 submitted by the petitioners has not been considered. Therefore, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that in the contempt petition, this Court had directed that such corrections would be subject to the outcome of the Writ Appeal filed by the respondents and however, the petitioners' representation dated 05.11.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a period of twelve weeks.

5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 05.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The respondents are also directed to Page No. 3 of 5

provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision, before passing any order. There shall be no order as to costs.
