ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to accept the surrender of the petitioner before the Special Court for SC/ST Atrocities Act i.e. The District and Sessions Judge (Special Court for PCR Cases)-Dindigul in connection with the Crime No.371 of 2025 on the file of the 2nd respondent police and to consider the bail application filed by the petitioner on the same day.

2. Considering the nature of the relief sought for, notice to the 3rd respondent is dispensed with.

3. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners, along with another accused, called the de facto complainant for compromise talks regarding a dispute involving his wife. Upon arrival, they abused him with caste name and filthy words, attacked him, caused injury, and threatened him with dire consequences. Based on these allegations, an FIR has been registered against the petitioner.

4. Heard the learned counsels on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court hereby direct the learned District and Sessions Judge (Special Court for PCR Cases)-Dindigul, to issue prior notice to the de facto complainant and thereafter to consider the bail application of the petitioner on the same day of his surrender before that Court in connection with Crime No.371 of 2025 on the file of the 2nd respondent police.
