JUDGMENT

[Judgment of the Court was made by DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.] The appellant herein, the erstwhile owner of the land acquired by the Highways Department is before this Court by way of a Writ Petition seeking Certiorarified Mandamus to cancel the sale deed executed by him in favour of the eighth respondent and to pay the compensation amount to him. 2.Learned Single Judge has rightly dismissed the Writ Petition with an observation that the petitioner, if he is aggrieved in any manner, should approach the jurisdictional Civil Court and the Writ Petition is not maintainable. We cannot have any other opinion than what the learned Single Judge has opined.

3.Accordingly, this Writ Appeal stands dismissed, with liberty to the appellant to work out his remedy before the appropriate Civil Court in the manner known to law. There shall be no order as to costs. [G.J., J.] & [K.K.R.K., J.] 05.01.2026 NCC :
