O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first and second respondents to survey and measure the petitioner's property comprised in old Survey No.484/119 to an extent of 0.071 Ares situated at Vellinipatti Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District and consequently, to direct the third and fourth respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's property on the basis of her representation dated 12.12.2025.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Having regard to the order proposed to be passed, notice to the fifth respondent is dispensed with.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that a representation dated 12.12.2025 was made seeking survey and demarcation of the boundaries of the property in question. Since no action has been taken by the respondents 1 and 2, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that after issuing notice to the adjacent land owners, appropriate steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

In view of the above, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 12.12.2025 for survey and demarcation on merits and in accordance with law. Notice shall be issued to the petitioner and the owners of relevant adjacent lands and appropriate orders shall be passed in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act 1923, within a period of ten weeks from the 3/6

date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to state that the revenue officials may seek assistance from the fourth respondent, if police assistance is required while carrying out such survey. In the event of any rival claims, the same can be agitated before the competent civil court. No costs.
