ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking Mandamus to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.10.2025 and further direct the second respondent herein to remove the name of the petitioner from the rowdy list record H.S.No.971/ 2015 dated 21.11.2015 maintained by the second respondent police in accordance with law.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.S.Abul Kalaam Azad, learned Government Advocate (crl.side), who takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. It is the grievance of the petitioner that he has sent a representation to the respondents requesting to delete his name in the history sheet being maintained at the second respondent police station forthwith. However, the said representation has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

5. This Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits, directs the respondents to conduct enquiry in respect of the petitioner's representation dated 07.10.2025 and pass appropriate order in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
