ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 3 to 6 to grant joint patta in the names of the legal heirs of the petitioner's father, M.Panchamalai, in respect of Survey No.757/4, measuring an extent of 10 cents, situated at Vellaloor Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 21.08.2025.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The petitioner submits that he is one of the legal heirs of his late father, M.Panchamalai, and is entitled, along with the other legal heirs, to joint patta in respect of the land comprised in Survey No.757/4, measuring 10 cents, situated at Vellaloor Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District. The petitioner has submitted a representation dated 21.08.2025 requesting that joint patta be granted in the names of all legal heirs. Despite the submission, no action has been taken by the respondents 3 to 6. Hence, the petitioner seeks a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 3 to 6 to consider the representation and grant joint patta in accordance with law.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered on its merits and in accordance with law.
5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the sixth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.08.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders after providing
reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and also to the other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
