PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to provide electricity connection to the Petitioner's newly constructed house in S.No.224/3B(old S.F.No.224/3) situated in Manalmelgudi Village and Taluk, Pudukkottai District based on the Petitioner's representation, dated 17.11.2025.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to provide electricity connection to the Petitioner's newly constructed house in S.No. 224/3B(old S.F.No.224/3) situated in Manalmelgudi Village and Taluk, Pudukkottai District based on the Petitioner's representation, dated 17.11.2025.

2.It could be seen from the records that the Petitioner had filed a suit in O.S.No.1 of 2010, on the file of District Munsif 2/5

Court, Aranthangi for declaration of title over the suit property and the same was dismissed on 8.12.2018. So far, the Petitioner is not able to number his first appeal. In such circumstances, the private respondents raised objection to the request of the Petitioner for providing electricity service connection on the ground that the Petitioner's suit has already been dismissed. 3.In view of the above facts, it is clear that the Petitioner can very well number the first appeal and obtain an interim order from the said Court, in case, if the Petitioner seeks service connection. This Court is not inclined to issue any positive direction 4.With the above observations, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
