PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing respondent Nos.1 and 2 to Defreeze the Petitioner's Savings Account No.3088101001663, which was illegally freezed by the second respondent, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.11.2025.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing respondent Nos.1 and 2 to de-freeze the writ petitioner's Savings Account No. 3088101001663, which was frozen by the second respondent, by considering the writ petitioner's representation dated 28.11.2025.

2. The learned counsel appearing for respondent Nos.1 and 2 submitted that the Savings Bank Account of the writ petitioner was frozen only on the instructions of the fourth respondent.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for respondent Nos.3 and 4 brought to the notice of this Court that the fourth respondent had addressed a communication dated 19.12.2025 to the Nodal Officer and Bank Manager, Canara Bank to the effect that the account may be defrozen, if it is not involved in any other crime.

4. In view of the above said facts, the writ petition stands allowed and the respondent Nos.1 and 2 are directed to de-freeze the writ petitioner's Savings Account No.3088101001663. No costs.
