ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 herein to issue patta to the petitioner in respect of the land with an extent of 2 cents in Survey No. 268/26 (Old Natham Survey No.30/2) at Ward No.1, Yathavar Street, Thirumalaiyapuram Panchayat, South Kadaiyam Village, Tenkasi Taluk, Tenkasi District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 17.11.2025.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, he is in lawful possession and enjoyment of the land measuring 2 cents in Survey No.268/26 (Old Natham Survey No.30/2), situated at Ward No.1, Yathavar Street, Thirumalaiyapuram Panchayat, South Kadaiyam Village, Tenkasi Taluk and District. The petitioner is entitled to issuance of patta for the said property and has submitted a representation dated 17.11.2025 to the respondents 2 and 3, seeking issuance of patta. Despite receipt

of the said representation, the respondents 2 and 3 have failed to consider and pass orders on the same within a reasonable time. Hence, the Writ Petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered on its merits and in accordance with law.

5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.11.2025 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and also to the other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
