ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to survey, demarcate, and measure the petitioner's land bearing S.No.732/1, measuring 0.17.0 Ares (42 Cents), situated at Pallavarayanpathai Village, Karambakudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, and to effect Patta mutation in her favour, based on her applications dated 05.11.2019, 16.06.2021, and 29.07.2021, and her representation dated 08.12.2025.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

According to the petitioner, she has submitted applications dated 05.11.2019, 16.06.2021, and 29.07.2021, and a representation dated 08.12.2025, requesting the survey, demarcation, and Patta mutation. Despite the same, no action has been taken by the third respondent, causing hardship to the petitioner.

The inaction of the third respondent has resulted in denial of the petitioner's legal rights over her land. The petitioner has a lawful entitlement to have the land surveyed, demarcated, measured, and mutated in her favour.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that proper steps would be taken to demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

5. Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2025, and demarcate the petitioner's land, after considering the claims of the petitioner and any other rival parties, if any, and to pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
