ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus as against the first respondent for re-issuance of the passport based upon her application dated 21.08.2025.

2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. A perusal of the records reveals that the Writ Petitioner herein was arrayed as second accused in Crime No.7 of 2023 on the file of AWPS, Karaikudi, Sivagangai District. However, an alteration report has been filed by the concerned police officials before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi on 18.06.2025, deleting the name of the Writ Petitioner from the array of accused persons. Therefore, the petitioner submits that there is no legal impediment whatsoever for issuance of passport.

4. Considering the above said facts, the first respondent is directed to consider the application of the Writ Petitioner for re-issuance 2/4

of passport and pass orders within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 19.12.2025 NCC :
