ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to sub-divide and issue patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the land comprised in Survey No.136, situated at Uthappanaikkanur, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District, by considering the sale deed dated 28.01.2016 and the petitioner's representations dated 16.07.2025, 17.11.2025 and 19.11.2025.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. According to the petitioner, he is the bona fide purchaser of the land comprised in Survey No.136, situated at Uthappanaikkanur, Usilampatti Taluk,
Madurai District, under a registered sale deed dated 28.01.2016, and has been in lawful possession and enjoyment of the same. For the purpose of obtaining patta in his favour, the petitioner submitted representations dated 16.07.2025, 17.11.2025 and 19.11.2025 to the respondents, seeking sub-division of the land and issuance of patta. Despite the lapse of considerable time, the respondents have failed to take any action on the petitioner's representations, which is arbitrary and unsustainable in law. The inaction of the respondents is in violation of the petitioner's statutory and constitutional rights, compelling the petitioner to approach this Court.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representations will be considered on its merits and in accordance with law.

Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 16.07.2025, 17.11.2025 and 19.11.2025 on merits and in accordance with law and pass
appropriate orders after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and also to the other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
