ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking Mandamus to direct the respondents to delete the petitioner's name from the history sheet being maintained at the third respondent police station and to remove his photograph from the notice board forthwith by considering the petitioner's representation dated 31.10.2025 in accordance with law, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.S.Abul Kalaam Azad, learned Government Advocate (crl.side), who takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. It is the grievance of the petitioner that he has sent a representation to the respondents requesting to delete his name in the history sheet being maintained at the third respondent police station and remove his photograph from the notice board forthwith. However, the said representation has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court. 2/4

5. This Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits, directs the first respondent to conduct enquiry in respect of the petitioner's representation dated 31.10.2025 and pass appropriate order in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
