This writ petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to take appropriate action for mutation of patta in respect of the property in S.No.55/1A, Seevalaperi village, Nanguneri taluk, Tirunelveli district in name of the petitioner by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 31.10.2025.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. The petitioner has sent a representation to the 2nd respondent for mutation of patta in the name of the petitioner. Since no action was taken on the said representation so far, the petitioner is before this court with this writ petition.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the civil case initiated by the parties has been decided by the trial court. 2/4

Taking into consideration the said aspects, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.10.2025 on merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to say, while mutating patta in question, the said aspect of disposal of the civil case shall be taken into consideration. There shall be no order as to costs.
