Prayer:

This petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondents to conduct peace committee meeting and gave permission for facilitating the renovation and Kumbabishekam of Sangiliandavar and Sri Jayanthimangala Kaliamman Temples Situated at Kamakshipuram Village, Budalur Taluk, Thanjavur District and direct the fifth respondent to provide adequate police protection for the said religious activities by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 11.12.2025, within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the 3rd respondents to conduct peace committee meeting and gave permission for facilitating the renovation and Kumbabishekam of Sangiliandavar and Sri Jayanthimangala Kaliamman Temples Situated at Kamakshipuram Village, Budalur Taluk, Thanjavur District and direct the fifth respondent to provide adequate police protection for the said religious activities by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 11.12.2025, within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. The learned Government Advocate would submit that there is a dispute with regard to conduct the temple festival between two groups in the said village.

3. The fourth respondent is directed to conduct the peace committee meeting

by calling the petitioner as well as the 6th respondent and other rival claimants. The outcome of the peace committee meeting shall be adhered by the petitioner and the 6th respondent and other rival claimants strictly.
