O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus as against the respondent Municipality to incorporate the name of the petitioner in his birth certificate in accordance with Section 15 of Registration of Birth and Deaths Act and Rule 11 of Tamilnadu Registration of Birth and Death Rules, 2000, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 15.12.2025.

2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.According to the learned counsel appearing for the Writ Petitioner, he was born on 16.03.1987 and at the time of registration of his birth, his name was not recorded and it is mentioned as "not registered". Thereafter, he relied upon his higher secondary course certificate, driving license, marriage registration certificate and passport to indicate that his date of birth is 16.03.1987 and his name is Mr.K.Muruganantham.

4. That apart, this Court in a judgment in W.P.No.19214 of 2025, dated 17.07.2025, has held that there is no bar to consider the request belatedly.

5. In view of the above said facts, the respondent Municipal Corporation is directed to issue a fresh birth certificate to the Writ Petitioner incorporating his name within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
