O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Mandamus as against the respondent to issue badge license to the petitioner in Application No. 2549561525 dated 28.06.2025 within time limit fixed by this Court.

2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, a false case has been registered against him in Crime No.127 of 2022 and the same is under investigation. It is the case of the petitioner that he has a valid driving license for four wheeler. Since he had completed heavy motor vehicle training, he made an application before the respondent on 28.06.2025 in Application No.2549561525 to obtain badge license. The petitioner also made representation on 18.08.2025, seeking to issue badge license. However, the same was not considered till date. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's application in Application No.2549561525 dated 28.06.2025 seeking for issue of badge license would be considered in accordance with law.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the view that mere pendency of FIR is not a bar for issue of badge license. Therefore, the respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner in Application No.2549561525 dated 28.06.2025 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
