O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to issue a fresh passport to the writ petitioner based upon his application dated 07.11.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the second and third respondents brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner has been implicated in ten criminal cases, out of which he has been either acquitted or discharged in five cases.

3. The petitioner has been convicted by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Sivakasi, on 03.09.2021 in Crime No.455 of 2020 and has paid the fine imposed therein.

4. The petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in C.C.No.128 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Sivakasi, which is pending trial. The petitioner has also been implicated in another criminal case in S.C.No.161 of 2023 on the file of the learned Sub-Court, Sivakasi, and the same is pending trial.

5. The petitioner has been implicated in two criminal cases in Crime Nos.710 of 2015 and 2 of 2016 on the file of the Sivakasi Town Police Station, in which the charge sheets, though laid on 27.09.2025, have not yet been taken on file.

In view of the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to approach the learned Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Sivakasi and the learned SubCourt, Sivakasi seeking permission of the Courts to go abroad. In case if any such application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within a period of four weeks. Based upon the orders to be passed by the concerned trial Courts, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law. 3/5

7. With the above said directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
