O R D E R
The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus as against the respondents 1 and 2 to cancel the free house site allotment granted to the 3rd respondent in respect of Plot No.124, in S.No.494-B/1A1A1A1A1 and T.S.No.39, situated at Meelavittan Village, Srivaikundam Taluk, Tuticorin District
2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse order is going to be passed as against the third respondent, notice to him is dispensed with.
3. According to the learned counsel appearing for the Writ Petitioner, he is a former employee of Tuticorin Spinning Mills. A Free housing site scheme has been announced for the former employees of the said Mill. Even though the third respondent is one of the Directors of the said Mill, considering him as an employee, he has been allotted a free 2/4
house site. Therefore, the petitioner has given a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 on 09.06.2025, to cancel the free house site. Since the said request was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
4. In view of the above said facts, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.06.2025, after giving opportunity to the third respondent and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
