ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus as against the first respondent to issue Police Clearance Certificate to the petitioner and consequently direct the first respondent not to impound the petitioner's passport.

2. The learned Government Advocate for the second respondent brought to the notice of this court that the petitioner was implicated in a criminal case in Crime No.68 of 2023 on the file of the Pudukkottai Police Station under Sections 41(2) and 102 of Cr.P.C., 3.Considering the fact that so far no further proceedings have been initiated by the Police Officials, there is no legal impediment for the second respondent to send a report to the first respondent. 2/4

4.In view of the above said facts, the second respondent is directed to forward a report to the first respondent with a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Based on the report forwarded by the second respondent, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

5.With the said observations and direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
